Welcome Message

The Principal’s Welcome

Dear Parents and Students,

It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I extend a warm welcome to you and your child as part of our International Baccalaureate (IB) community. As the School Principal, I am honored to be leading such an exceptional group of educators, students, and families.

At our school, we firmly believe in nurturing young minds to become well-rounded individuals who are not only academically competent but also possess the skills and values necessary to excel in a rapidly changing world. Through the IB program, we strive to develop the whole child, focusing on their intellectual, social, emotional, and physical growth.

One of the key aspects of the IB program is the IB Learner Profile, which outlines the attributes we aim to foster. We encourage our students to be inquirers, thinkers, communicators, and reflective individuals. We also emphasize the importance of developing principled, open-minded, caring, balanced, and knowledgeable young people who are risk-takers and are committed to making a positive impact on their communities and the world.

International mindedness is a core principle of our educational philosophy. We believe that in an increasingly interconnected and globalized world, it is essential for our students to develop an appreciation and understanding of different cultures, perspectives, and ideas. Through various activities, projects, and collaborations, we aim to broaden their horizons and encourage them to become responsible global citizens who actively contribute to creating a more peaceful and sustainable future.

Our commitment to concept-based education sets us apart from traditional approaches to learning. Rather than simply memorizing facts and figures, we encourage our students to develop a deep understanding of concepts that transcend disciplines. By exploring the connections between different subjects and applying their knowledge to real-world situations, our students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills that are essential for success in higher education and beyond.

We understand that as parents, you play a crucial role in your child's education. We encourage open communication and collaboration between home and school, as we believe that a strong partnership is essential for your child's growth and development. We value your insights, feedback, and involvement in school activities, and we look forward to working together to create a positive and enriching educational experience for your child.

Once again, welcome to our IB community. We are excited to embark on this educational journey with you and your child, and we are confident that together, we can inspire and empower our students to become lifelong learners and compassionate global citizens.

Warmest regards,

Shaimaa Abdelfattah

Why choose the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme?

IB programs go beyond classic school education and prepare children for life.

From the very beginning of their IB schooling children from foundation stage develop deeper and more powerful learning skills. Your child will not only learn to read, but learn to understand the process of reading, and what they read. Not only will they be learning mathematics, but they will learn to understand math and what they can do with it.

IB programs emphasize character and skills development. Children learn responsibility, become caring, develop great communications and research skills, and become strong critical thinkers. Children take charge of their own learning by asking vital questions. In fact, the IB Programs (PYP, MYP and DP) are centered around inquiry and agency, where children learn to ask critical questions, and are taught the skills to explore meaningful answers.

IB programs are internationally recognized and transferable. If the child were to move to another IB school, anywhere in the world, they would fit in immediately, as all IB schools follow the same programs.

Your child is the center of all IB programs. As they move through the years the IB system helps them develop and deepen the skills that give them a competitive advantage for both university and for life after university. They learn to work in multiple languages, to bridge multi-cultural differences, to organize and manage themselves, and to productively and successfully work with others.

I have been involved with many educational systems over the years, and I can say without doubt that the complete IB system, through a continuum from K-12, is the best preparation a child can have to equip them with the skills and knowledge they need to be successful and happy in the 21st Century.
